Under the Civil Service Rules, no anonymous complaint shall be entertained unless there is obvious truth or merit to the allegations therein or supported by documentary or direct evidence, in which case the person complained of may be required to comment. (Section 11, Rule 3 of the 2017 RACCS)
What is the Student Disciplinary Board (SDB)?
The Student Disciplinary Board (SDB) is a multi-sectoral adjudicatory body mandated to hear and decide cases filed against a student except for cases involving sexual harassment, which should be referred to the Committee on Decorum and Investigation.
What is the composition of the Student Disciplinary Board (SDB)?
The Student Disciplinary Board (SDB) shall be composed of two representatives from the student sector, recommended by the SKM President; one representative from the faculty, recommended by the Faculty Federation; one representative from the administrative employees, recommended by the Employees Union, and one representative from the administration, designated by the University President.
Majority of its membership shall constitute a quorum necessary for the conduct of disciplinary proceedings. The presiding officer shall be elected from among its members.
In the absence of the duly elected SKM President, a student representative to the SDB and CODI shall be recommended by the Student Regent. In the absence of the duly elected SKM President and Student Regent, a representative to the SDB and CODI shall be recommended by the Director of Student Services and approved by the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services.
